Pirate radio DJs ZT and b9punk will discuss the Whats, Hows and Whys of starting your own station, including a technical overview of what is required to get on the air, legal concerns, and the philosophy and social relevance of the movement as a whole. They will recount their experiences with KBFR, a wildly successful and growing station based out of Boulder, Colorado, including the rewards of being DJs, bringing the 'hacker scene' to pirate radio, and their encounters with the FCC. They will also talk about the Real Public Radio (RPR) Network, a content provider, and all-purpose resource for international pirate stations, and what you can do to get involved. Joining the crew via phone, will be Monk, the station's founder and benevolent dictator, who will be broadcasting the entire panel live in the US, as well as streaming over the internet.
